Thank you for that throwback Christmas message - I somehow just got to it in the tab I had left open. Now off to read the rest of the stories. Merry Christmas, Joe! You're doing the Lord's work for sure, so carry on, friend!

Just read your essay, Mr. Allen, at The Federalist entitled "Swedes Are Implanting Microchip Vaccine Passports. It Won’t Stop There" -- it was the top link included by JJ Sefton in his daily M-F aggregation of news and opinion links at Morning Report this morning (http://acecomments.mu.nu/?post=397082) at the Ace of Spades HQ blog (ace.mu.nu) -- and wanted to give you a Big Like.

Very eye-opening; nice to discover that you have your own Substack space.

The Swedish start-up hub Epicenter has a s Chief Disruption Officer? WTAF? That's so non-Orwellian it's Orwellian ...

As I read your essay, what kept popping into my mind were visions of Locutus of Borg repeating the now infamous meme "Resistance is futile. You will be assimilated."

Thank you for this clarion call and let's hope it catches fire worldwide. The Totalitarian Left has always used the pretext of "Imagined Existential Threats" to control, enslave, and mass-murder populations -- when if fact they pose this actual existential threat to what remains left of humanity.

I don’t really see the short term downside to Elon’s implant. There are tons of legitimate medical uses/breakthroughs here. Elon’s point of us interacting with our AI being restricted because of our limited output/bandwidth also has merit. Could a computer brain implant one day be hijacked by a nefarious AGI? Definitely this is possible, so there is risk here. Elon wants government oversight/regulation of AGI. That’s just too cute! He really doesn’t realize that all of our regulatory bodies (FDA, EPA, NIH) have been captured by private industry. Why would an AGI regulatory body be immune?

I don’t see the logic in dismissing the idea out of hand because of what might be. SOMEONE will develop this technology. Would you rather have Elon, Gates or Bezos doing it?

So you're good with Neuralink, you think it's a good thing? You're excited about a monkey playing computer pong with his mind? I do read a lot and maybe I've got you mixed up with someone else, but I thought you were in the camp that those things are dangerous.

The normalization of commercial BCI is dangerous. Not that controversial, even among those working in this field.
