The way you are (intentionally or inadvertently) alternating highly saturated content with more freestyle offerings, from week to week to week, is imaginative and appreciated. Like leftovers that taste better the second day, sometimes complex concepts require time to savour. Sure, we can gulp red wine out of a bottle without using even a tumbler (as Italian peasants often do) but we can also fill a pot for mulled wine and citrus slices with cinnamon sticks bobbing about on simmer. Aromatic and enticing, the storytelling enhances the science and theology, with wit and wisdom. Excellent start to this podcast effort, Joe. We remain tethered and optimistic via comic infusion.

Also, it's vital to be buoyant, as Melville discovered, with an escape from cannibals possible using some fast action and bravery in the face of hidden risks (Typee). Sail on! Horizons draw the eye.

FYI: Just happened to read HM's debut trilogy T/O/M this week, thus allusion to 'those who may want to eat you alive'... Toby's lament re: 'baked babies' in ch.12/Typee precedes attack by 3 Happars. This segment surfaced with your 'dead babies' bleach tune (circa 15min). Gasp. ⚰
