Great article Joe, and you are right. Those who lack discernment and self-awareness will fall for the "AI God" PsyOp. Let them. That world has so many internal contradictions it will fail rapidly. Meanwhile, those of us in the Light will carry the torch for a rational and healthy civilization. My feeling is that the Gen Zers and the Gen Alphas will see through this nonsense very quickly. Some of course will be captured by it, but I have a lot of faith in humanity in that a large enough portion of the race will see the truth that AI can be a helpful tool, but relying on it (or believing that it will turn sentient) is a wet dream of psychopaths like Kurzweil and Altman (and the running dog Ellison).

It is very nice to read you believe God does in fact exist. I thought I had heard you say once, a while back on Warroom, you were not a believer. I may be wrong, but it's still nice to see these words in your writing. Be Blessed!

This has made me so sad. Some aspects of AI excite me, but this in your article dropped me to a lower level, but I'm okay:

"The transhuman impulse—the drive to go beyond human limits by way of technology, even to the point of abandoning our humanity—arises from a godless cosmos."

The ChatGPT has already been weaponized by my nephew, who got busted by his teachers and parents for copy/pasting. Innocent plagerism, no!!! Think, use your brain, not a way of escape. Lord, help us.

Good one, Joe! Always a pleasure - cool that this is nearly a year old. But good to revisit here in 2025, the 50th anniversary of SNL!!

"religion shaped void" - keepin; that!! So much source material, so little time!!

have nice day!

Well said - it very much is a religion. Insofar as it is a belief system, and one that I mention that in some ways I adhered to myself, it can be harmless or even beneficial(I relate to the Hermetics that did a lot of good for Europe, I feel), but insofar as it has become apocalyptic death cult, it is pretty terrifying.

But I also suppose, it was perhaps an inevitable consequence of a faithless generation. The snake lays in wait for the God-shaped hole.

What religion once was for ruling classes, science is now the opiate of the masses in modern myths of civilized enlightenment and progress. Promised lands of prosperity and paradise await believers in tomorrow land, even as technologies are weaponized for more 'efficient' means of oppression. Meanwhile, magicians manage our perceptions by misdirection of mind control techniques to leave all cave allegories and superstitions past far behind in the digital (c)age.

It's all the ruling classes' science of population control of human resources industrialized for the machinery of production. But ye who suffer, your day of deliverance is at hand! Nay, our apotheosis in the singularity, when human and machine become one in blessed union of the Borg's eternal hive mind. Oh, happy day! Oh, happy day! When AI walked.... Oh yeah and don't forget, we will be happy with having, and being, nothing.

It is almost certain the prophecy is right at least for the short term. AI is tempting as much as it is scary and I have hope there may be some good in it. I have heard you say that AI/transhumanism will degrade the initiative out of humans. Humans do seek easy answers, I know I do, I still do, and when they don't come, I struggle to find them, particularly when dealing with God... My dad died when I was 20. A burnt-out Southern Baptist at the time there was a lot hell fire, damnation and shaming preached, not much love from Jesus. He didn't want us exposed that, never took us to church and talked about a Creative Force without which Humans would fall into Chaos. He had all the answers I ever needed but when he died, so did the answers. I went looking for the CF, but if Jesus was mentioned in a book, I put it down. It was after 9/11/2001 when I saw all the Christians flocking to church and I didn't have a place to go gather together spiritually. I wanted a place to go. I then gave full attention to Jesus, visited many of the Christian options and in 2004, after another year of their required study, I joined the Roman Catholic Church - Baptized (full immersion) and confirmed at tender age age of 45. I'm certainly not saying it is the "best" but it is where I learned about the Way of Jesus - the Love and the Cross. ( thanks for letting me "witness")

I am glad you are back with us fully, Joe. I missed your amazing insight to the advancing, potential destruction of our cultural norms and values by the coming AI onslaught. I'm praying often for the Lord's protection and reading the Bible as reinforcement against the approaching evil. I am also praying for your protection as well. Godspeed.

Lets not forget that Sam Altman is being sued by his sister Ann for sexual abuse since the age of 3 years of age. And the mother of a murdered OpenAI whistleblower has been blowing the whistle on Sam Altman. She alleges her son was murdered and did not commit suicide. Blood was found all over his apartment and he was found sitting on the floor with a bullet in his head and the autopsy said the shot came from above as if someone was standing over him. If he shot himself in the head how did his blood get all over the apartment. She did an interview with Tucker Carlson.

Exactly Joe, so we must explore ways to Start a 'New Conversation'.

When it is understood that the universe is a reflection evolving in Divine Mind, wherein all motion is recognised as the thinking in that Mind. Then people will become able to recall that space-time is the Divine Structure of that Mind; providing the volume and duration wherein God manifests and disappears ITs characters (us) plus 'backdrop scenery' endlessly. This is the Real Nature of ITs Play of exploration-investigation-discovery of All That IT IS NOW (out-of-space-time)

Thus, the development of algorithms to enable AI is merely the outcome of relatively few ego-minds seeking to comprehend how life manifests; like children watching frogspawn develop. Small wonder this process is driven by narcissists and psychopaths who are so lost in the temptations of hubris that they are fully disconnected from the Reality of Truth, Beauty and Goodness. Their outlook is analogous to a toy radio car crashing into everything because it has become disconnected from its control pad.

In effect, we are witnessing the depth of delusion wherein man believes he can replace God; the outcome of demonic interference in reversal of Reality, which can lead only to perdition. In Reality, 'freewill' is a simple choice between Real and artificial e.g. Real Intelligence or manmade artificiality. If you believe Musk and his cohorts are 'clever' or 'saviours', seek help from God within.

Right Now, we have the choice to 'worship' man's delusions or dismiss this illusory power in re-cognition of the endless wonders wherein we appear. To avoid encasement into the loveless 'underworld mentality', we must begin a new global conversation; revealing the depth of mankind's indoctrination into survival amidst artificial every thing. Ironically we must employ digital media systems en route to reconnection with the omniscience, omnipresence and omnipotence of 'Divine Media'.

Quite simply (simple is not easy) we must learn and teach how to go within and re-tune our hearts (the Divine Tuner of our Transceiver Brain) in awe and gratitude for All That Is Freely Given. Therefrom clarity on the delusions of this time will begin to 'download'; enabling us to refocus on Reality. Surely this is real common sense and the only genuine response to attempts to subvert, enslave and supplant.

As Paul says...

For the time will come when people will not put up with sound doctrine. Instead, to suit their own desires, they will gather around them a great number of teachers to say what their itching ears want to hear. They will turn their ears away from the truth and turn aside to myths. But you, keep your head in all situations, endure hardship, do the work of an evangelist, discharge all the duties of your ministry. For I am already being poured out like a drink offering, and the time for my departure is near. I have fought the good fight, I have finished the race, I have kept the faith. Now there is in store for me the crown of righteousness, which the Lord, the righteous Judge, will award to me on that day—and not only to me, but also to all who have longed for his appearing.

Let’s break this down, shall we?

So, according to this fever dream of an article, atheists are about to get sucked into some grand techno-religion because… they have no guiding beliefs? Ah yes, the classic “atheism is just another faith” argument, but with a Blade Runner twist. Love that for us.

First off, the premise assumes that because people crave meaning, they’ll just slap a motherboard on it and call it salvation. Newsflash: seeking purpose isn’t the same as blind faith. The whole point of skepticism is not jumping on the first shiny thing that promises transcendence—whether it’s a sky god or a Silicon Valley cult leader with a messiah complex.

And let’s talk about this “unbelievers will be the first to fall” nonsense. As if religious folks are somehow immune to grifting, fear-mongering, and the siren call of tech-fueled utopian nonsense. Shall we take a quick stroll down the history of every doomsday cult, televangelist scam, or megachurch tech startup? The faithful have never been above buying snake oil with a data plan.

There's an irony here, too. This argument is basically, “Without God, you’ll worship something else!” No, actually. Some of us are just fine not worshiping anything. Atheism isn’t a placeholder waiting to be filled with the next cosmic sugar daddy—it’s a rejection of nonsense, period.

If anyone’s getting “snared” in a techno-religion, it won’t be the people who’ve spent their lives questioning authority and demanding evidence. It’ll be the ones who’ve already mastered the art of believing without proof. But sure, tell me more about how the unbelievers are the ones at risk.

To conflate awe as godliness is what I'm seeing here...and that's fallacious on its face.
