Good stuff, Joe. I was late, but Gettr was late with the notification.

You have a great voice for this. Easy listening even if the content is scary as all hell sometimes.

I hope this thing is a smashing success! ♡

BTW, I'm a huge supporter of your sponsor!

Really enjoyable to listen to, excellent explanatory breakdown of some heavy hitters in our modern times. Teilhard De Chardonnay for your patron saint 😂 very good 👍

I used to read things that were like this when I was younger (Brave New World, 1984, Lord of the Flies, Crime and Punishment, etc.) and it does expand the mind when you realize where things are going technologically and where we have been through our various human experiences over the last couple centuries. Keep up the good work; Jesus wins. 😊

Also- what if the Omega Point/Singularity is not an absolute as in 100% (despite, I think, if I’m understanding it correctly, what de Chardin/Kurzweil respectively suggested it would be) but all that’s required is enough of a percent to involve the majority & be tech-forward enough that it could not go backwards without an act of God or massive event that made it so (ie EMP). A random tribe in Africa is not “technologically advanced” & you can find spots in nature with zero reception- but even so, the globe is technologically advanced & tech “touches” it, even if those in the tribe or on the hike abstain/can’t touch that tech (ie satellite imagery, radio signals, AI databases etc). That same tribe isn’t Transhuman but if enough people had the brain chips (or identify as “Transhuman”), and they were able to control the majority of culture, commerce and politics, it wouldn’t matter if we had the brain chips or not.

The strangling grip of the modern day “noosphere” (aka X or insert your highly addictive social media poison here), feels real (& maybe its existence can only be confirmed on an individual basis). I think everyone craves the addictive fruit once they get a taste, but perhaps just not what at all what de Chardin hoped it would be & under the veil perhaps it’s not what we’d hoped either.

I wrote a long reply from my email Joe, but I don’t know what to do next about replying to the link I was just sent, or whether my well thought out long reply will be forwarded to your comments, so I guess I got it wrong this time around?
